Webster lake is known for the island on it, and also the Dixie Sternwheeler:

The "Big Island". Prior to the 1930's it was known as Muscongus Island, and had a few houses on it. In the 1800's it was known as Kline's Island. Today it is maintained by Epworth Forest. The island has a picnic area, but no permanent dwellings.

Webster lake Conservation Association

The Webster Lake Conservation Association, Inc. (WLCA) exists because the membership supports our activities with their dues and fireworks donations. Our Membership Committee under the direction of Linda Kinsey, supplies us with the funds to support all of our activities. Without that effort our lake would suffer rapid decline as the result of uncontrolled aquatic vegetation. In addition, our lake would experience accelerated eutrophication from a watershed contributing excessive nutrients and sediment. Bluntly, our property values would plummet. The Board of Directors appreciates the memberships support in our approach to these challenges and encourages non-members to join us in this effort.
